The conviction of the applicant for the offence punishable under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, by an order passed by learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Latur on 15th June, 2015, was confirmed in Criminal Appeal No. 67 of 2015, vide order dated 20th May, 2016, passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Latur. The amount involved in the present case is Rs. 1,00,000/-.

The parties hereto have come out with a joint pursis, stating that they have settled the matter. The parties are personally present in the Court and are identified by their respective Counsel.

The settlement is reached in accordance with the terms of compromise dated 23rd June, 2016 and the parties in response to the Court's query, have stated that they have settled the dispute in between them, in terms thereof.

The provisions of Negotiable Instruments Act, provides for compounding of offence, particularly in view of Section 147. 5.

In view thereof, the offence are compounded. Criminal Revision Application stands disposed of.
