Petitioner is objecting to the voters' list published for the purpose of holding election to respondent no. 5 Village Panchayat. Learned counsel for State Election Commission, on instructions, informs that the process of election is set in motion and today onwards is the period prescribed for accepting nomination paper. In this view of the matter, in exercise of extra ordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, no interference is called for the in the instant petition. Keeping the option to avail of remedies available in law, at appropriate stage, open for the petitioner, writ petition stands rejected.
