The learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that the District Collector has abundant powers under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code to deal with encroachment, demolition of illegal structures, wrongful allotment by the Gram Panchayat etc. He, therefore, prays that the District Collector - respondent No. 3 be directed to consider the grievance of the petitioner. The petitioner

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. If the petitioner tenders his representation to the District Collector - respondent No. 3, on or before 15th July, 2022, the District Collector shall initiate steps in accordance with the procedure prescribed under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966, and deal with the said issue expeditiously.
