The learned counsel states that, the petitioners have filed application under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act before the respondent No. 2, however, the same is not decided as yet. 2.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader states that, if the same is pending with the competent authority, the competent authority would take decision on its own merits. 3.

In light of the above, we pass the following order. 4.

The respondents/competent authority shall decide the application of the petitioners under Section 28-A of the Land

2 wp 9380.15 Acquisition Act (Exh. B) expeditiously, on its own merits, in accordance with law, after hearing all concerned and preferably within a period of eight (8) months from today. 4.
