The petitioner was before this Court with a basic prayer i.e. prayer clause (C), which reads thus :- "To direct the respondent No.1 and 4 not to permit the respondent No.7 to participate and cast her vote in a Special Meeting scheduled on 16.05.2017 for electing the Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Parbhani."

On perusal of the material placed on record and on consideration of the sequence of events on the backdrop of prayer clause (C), we are of the opinion that the petition has been rendered infructuous during the passage of time.
