The present civil application is filed seeking permission to increase the rate of rooms and the service charges in Bhakta Niwas as per Resolution Nos.339 and 340 passed by the Ad-hoc Committee on 9th June, 2020.

It is submitted that the inflation has taken place and so also the maintenance charges has gone up and because of which, the break-even is not reached and that has necessitated the Committee to seek permission to enhance the rent. The AC room was rented at Rs.500/- per day. The same is sought to be increased to Rs.600/- per

CA-5867-2020.odt day and the non-AC room was rented at Rs.200/- and the same is sought to be increased to Rs.250/- and so also to increase the rent of the beds in the dormitory.

Considering the statistic given and the expenses required to be meted out from the rent collected of the rooms, we find the request to be reasonable. We permit the applicant to increase the rate of rooms and service charges as adopted by the Resolution Nos.339 and 340 dated 09.06.2020. Civil application is disposed of. (SHRIKANT D. KULKARNI, J.)
