Heard the learned Counsel for the applicant and the learned APP for the Respondent - State.

It is the case of the prosecution that the complainant had been to the house of the applicant to check the meter. At that time, the applicant asked the complainant why his meter is running when it is defunct. Then there was exchange of hot words between the complainant and the applicant / accused. It has been alleged against the applicant that he beat the complainant. The quarrel happened due to electricity meter.

Apparently, there is nothing on record to satisfy the Court that the custodial interrogation of the applicant would serve the

purpose. Therefore, the application deserves to be allowed. Hence the following order :

ORDER

(i) The application is allowed.

(ii) The interim protection granted to the applicant by order dated 28.06.2022 is confirmed on the same bail conditions. [ S. G. MEHARE ] JUDGE GGP
