The learned counsel submits that the proposal for verification of the caste claim is pending with the Scrutiny Committee. The employer has issued notice that if the validity is not submitted, adverse action would be taken.

Mr. Karlekar, learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the caste verification proposal of the petitioner is pending with the Committee.

We have also heard the learned counsel for respondent Nos.3 and 4.

O R D E R

I.

The petitioner shall appear before the Committee on 30th September, 2021.

II.

The Committee shall endeavour to decide the validation proceeding, preferably within six months from the date of appearance of the petitioner. III.

The impugned order is quashed and set aside.

IV.

The respondent authority may consider the proposal of the petitioner for regularization provisionally and subject to the decision of the caste verification proposal pending with the Committee.

V.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
