By this petition, the Petitioner has prayed for implementation of the directions of the Honourable Chancellor of Universities vide letters dated 31.10.2011, 14.12.2011, 17.01.2012 (Exhibit-M) and 17.01.2012 (Exhibit-N).
We have gone through the said four letters. We find that the Secretary to the Honourable Chancellor has directed the Vice Chancellor of Respondent No.3/ University to consider the grievances of the Petitioner voiced through his letters dated 11.10.2011, 24.11.2011, 14.12.2011 and 05.01.2012 whereby, he seeks to question the promotion of Dr.M.S.Pagare as Professor in Marathi in the Post Graduate Department

We have also considered the communication dated 21.05.2012 addressed by the Deputy Secretary, University Grants Commission to the Vice Chancellor of Respondent No.3/ University by which, the complaint of the Petitioner as against the promotion of Dr.Pagare was to be looked into.
We have gone through the affidavit in reply filed by the Deputy Registrar of the Respondent/ University dated 24.08.2016 and the documents annexed thereto. By communication dated 02.01.2012, Respondent No.3/ University has intimated the Secretary to the Honourable Chancellor that the complaint lodged by the Petitioner with regard to the promotion of Dr.Pagare has already been adjudicated upon by the University and it is ruled that the promotion of Dr.Pagare as Professor in Marathi has been done strictly in accordance with the Rules and norms settled by the University Grants Commission. Considering the above, the prayers put forth by the Petitioner have already been redressed. This Writ Petition need not be kept pending. As such, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
