By our order dated 12.01.2024, passed in the Writ Petition, we have permitted the authorities to cut down the trees for the purpose of the public project, with a rider that all the trees that are being chopped down, would be counted and the details of such trees including their botanical names/details and their approximate age, shall be recorded.

The grievance of the Petitioner is that strangers came to his agricultural land in the middle of the night on 30.05.2024 and cut down a large tree. A complaint lodged with the Karmad Police Station, was not being looked into and FIR was not registered. 3.

Since we expressed our disinclination, the learned Advocate for the Petitioner seeks liberty to withdraw this Civil Application and prefer an appropriate proceeding for seeking a direction for registration of the FIR.

In view of the above statement, this Civil Application is disposed off as withdrawn.
