ORDER:

Mr Jadhavar, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner had submitted a proposal for extension of courses in various subjects. The proposal was also recommended by the University for Home Science course. However, it is rejected only on the ground that the proposal was not recommended within the stipulated time.

We have heard Shri. K. M. Suryawanshi, learned counsel for respondent no. 2.

Mrs Deshpande, the learned AGP submits that, the time frame has to be adhered to. As the recommendation was not within the stipulated time, the proposal is rightly rejected. The learned AGP further submits that, the policy decision is taken not to grant sanction to any new courses for the academic year 2017-18. 4.

It would transpire that the proposal of the petitioner for the course of Home Science is not rejected on merits and it is rejected only on the ground that the University recommended that proposal late.

In case the perspective plan permits then the proposal of the petitioner dt. 30.12.2015 for the Home Science course shall be considered for the academic year 2018-19 on its own merits as per the policy and the decision upon it shall be taken expeditiously by end of May-2018.
