At the outset, learned A.G.P.

appearing for the respondent/State has tendered across the Bar copies of two communications dated 18th February, 2016 sent by District Magistrate, Latur to Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department and Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai.

Learned A.G.P. has also tendered copies of another two communications dated 7th

October, 2017 sent by the Additional District Magistrate, Latur to Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department and Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai.

All the four communications are taken on record and marked as "X Collectively", for identification purpose.

Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and learned A.G.P.

appearing for the respondent/State.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submit that, since the appropriate steps have been taken by the Collector, Latur, this Petition can be conveniently disposed of. However, he prays that, the copies of this Petition with annexures be forwarded to the concerned Secretary so as to take further appropriate steps in accordance with the provisions of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishments) Act, 1999, and in particular, the provisions of Sections 4 to 6 of the said Act. He further submits that, the necessary copies of the Petitions with annexures will be handed over to the Additional Government Pleader

on or before 24th April, 2018. Needless to observe that, after receiving the copies of the Petition with annexures, learned A.G.P. will forward the same through the office of Government Pleader to the concerned Secretary so as to take further steps/action, if already not taken.

Needless to observe that in case the Superintendent of Police has not taken any action pursuant to the complaint, the Superintendent of Police, Latur to take action on the said complaint expeditiously in accordance with law.

With the above observations, the Public Interest Litigation stands disposed of.

In view of disposal of Public Interest Litigation, the Civil Application No.15234 of 2017 stands disposed of.

The parties shall act upon authenticated copy of this order.
