The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that though the Female Hostel Superintendent and the Male Hostel Superintendent perform the same duties, there is anomaly in the pay scale prescribed for both of them. 2.

An additional affidavit is filed by the Project Officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project, Kalamnuri, Dist. Hingoli. In the affidavit it is accepted by the respondent that the Male Hostel Superintendent and the Female Hostel Superintendent perform the same duties and bear the same responsibilities. The nature of work is same. It is further clarified that the Tribal Development Department has moved proposal on 18.08.2018 to the Finance Department and recommended to give pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800

2 905-WP6363-18.odt with Grade Pay Rs. 4300/- and pay matrix level 6 (35400-112400) in the 7th pay commission. The said proposal is under active consideration of the Finance Department.

It is further clarified that the pay scale of the Female Hostel Superintendent and the Male Hostel Superintendent has to be kept before the State Pay Revision Committee 2017. After recommendation of the said committee, the issue would be kept before the Cabinet of the State of Maharashtra and then in pursuance to the decision of the Cabinet, the Government would take further decision. The process would take time of two to three months.

We accept the affidavit filed by the respondent. We hope and trust that within a period of three (03) months as contended in the affidavit the decision would be taken by the respondent.

In case, the petitioner is aggrieved with the decision taken, the petitioner is at liberty to assail the same.

Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
