In all these matters directions are sought against respondents to accept the preference form of petitioners without insisting for validity certificates of the students from the Scheduled Tribe category.

The learned Assistant Government Pleaders have placed on record the circular issued by the State stating that even from the students of the Scheduled Tribe category, the validity certificates would not be insisted and the preference form would be accepted on the basis of the undertaking and those students will have to submit the proof of submission of application showing that matter/proposal is referred to the Committee for validation of caste certificate.

In the light of the above, the major grievance of petitioners stands redressed.

In all these writ petitions, the proposals for validation are pending with the Committee. The learned counsel for the Committee in respective writ petitions submit that, considering large number of proposals pending with the Committee, it would take some time for deciding validation proceedings. 5.

The respondent/committee shall endeavour to decide the

6 wp 6069.15 validation proceedings expeditiously and preferably within a period of one (01) year from today. The petitioners shall cooperate in expeditious disposal of the validation proceedings.
