We have heard Mr. Bide, learned counsel for the petitioners and Ms. Deshpande, learned counsel for respondent nos. 3 and 6 so also learned A.G.P. 2.

Respondent nos.3 and 6 have filed affidavit-inreply stating that the proposal for bifurcation cannot be submitted upto two years and also prior to six months of completion of term of the Gram Panchayat. The petitioners have submitted the completed proposal on 25/2/2015. Immediately thereafter on 27/2/2015, the Standing Committee has sanctioned the proposal and

2 WP/ 6172 /2015 forwarded it to the Office of the Divisional Commissioner. The Divisional Commissioner has returned the proposal on 27/3/2015. It is submitted that the elections were also over as the subsequent proposal submitted could not be forwarded.

The petitioners may file a fresh proposal complete in all respects with the authorities, which proposal shall be considered by the authorities and appropriate steps, as may be permissible in law, may be taken by the authorities.

Writ Petition accordingly disposed of.

No costs.
