Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is elected as councillor of the Municipal Council.

The proposal is forwarded seeking verification of his caste claim on 26.10.2016, however, the same is not yet decided.

We have heard learned A.G.P. for Respondent Nos.1 to 4 and Mr.Rathi, learned counsel for Respondent No.5.

Considering the fact that validation proceedings in respect of caste claim of the petitioner is pending, the Respondent No.2 Committee shall decide the said validation proceedings expeditiously, preferably within six

(6) months. The petitioner shall cooperate in expeditious disposal of the said proceedings. 4.

The petitioner shall appear before the Committee on 31.10.2017.

The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
