The petitioner, who is superannuated as Block Education Officer on 30 June 2013, is before us seeking clearance of his Travelling Allowance bills which were for the period August 2009 to June 2013, amounting to Rs. 84,480/-.

We have heard both the sides.

There is no dispute about the entitlement of the petitioner to seek reimbursement of the TA expenses incurred by him. Once this fact is admitted, it is imperative for the respondent no. 3 - Zilla Parishad to reimburse the petitioner, according to TA bills submitted and available SGP

2 963WP6416.2023.odt with the office. There is no dispute about the same. In fact, the petitioner is claiming interest as well for the delayed payment which is still to be made.

In the peculiar circumstances, we dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent no. 3 to pay all the TA bills to the petitioner as early as possible and in any case within 12 weeks from today failing which the amount shall carry simple interest @ 7% p.a. till the entire amount is realized.
