The grievance raised by petitioner in the instant petition is in respect of refusal by respondents to award Grade Pay to him. According to petitioner, he has been appointed as Head Master in the year 2015 although he was entitled to be considered for appointment much prior thereto. Petitioner contends that though he has been appointed late on the post of Head Master, respondent authorities have not yet awarded him pay to which he is entitled. The Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare, has rejected the request of petitioner.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, it would be open for the petitioner to tender appropriate representation to the Commissioner of Social Welfare, Maharashtra State, for redressal of his grievance. If petitioner tenders representation to the

{2} wp9529.17.odt concerned authority i.e. the Commissioner of Social Welfare, Maharashtra State, within a period of four weeks from today, the concerned authority shall take appropriate decision in the matter after extending an opportunity of hearing to petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of such representation. 3.
