We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

The learned counsel submits that respondent no. 2 be directed to consider the proposal submitted by respondent no. 3 to change the name of the petitioner as Vaibhav Subhash Lokhande from Gyanoba Subhash Lokhande.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, there would be confusion in the name

2 wp 8242.19 and so to avoid the confusion the petitioner wants to change the name. Gyanoba is also the name of his grandfather.

It is not the case of correction of mistake.

The petitioner wants to change his name and for change of name a different procedure is prescribed with the State Government. The petitioner is at liberty to avail the same.

Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed of. No costs.
