Equally efficacious remedy is available to the petitioner under Section 60 of the Maharashtra Police Act. The petitioner is given liberty to pursue such remedy. If there is delay in filing appeal, the Appellate Authority may consider application seeking condonation of delay rather sympathetically and consider the Appeal on merits. In view of this, Writ Petition stands dismissed.
