IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY

BENCH AT AURANGABAD.

WRIT PETITION NO. 6411 OF 2023 Surekha d/o Laxman Lolapod & Ors.

Versus

The State of Maharashtra & Anr.

...Respondents

.....

Mr. Apparao P. Yenegure - Advocate for the petitioners Mr. S. B. Pulkundwar - AGP for respondent/State .....

CORAM : MANGESH S. PATIL AND S. G. CHAPALGAONKAR, JJ.

DATED : 16.06.2023 PER COURT : - .

Heard learned advocate for the petitioners and the learned AGP.

2.

The petitioners are before this court aggrieved by the fact that the tribe certificate issued to them of ' Mannervarlu' tribe contains incorrect spelling of the tribe nomenclature, which would create further complications. It is pointed out that the original certificates have been surrendered to the respondent no. 2 - competent authority along with application dated 03 April 2023 and still no orders are being passed. 3.

The request is innocuous. Necessarily the tribe certificate should contain exact nomenclature with correct spelling as is mentioned SGP

2 958WP6411.2023.odt in the presidential order. It is only a matter of substitution of letter ' W'

by letter 'V' in the spelling of 'Mannervarlu' .

4.

We allow the petition and direct the respondent no. 2 to issue fresh tribe certificate to the petitioners in proper format with correct spelling as expeditiously as possible and in any case within one week.
