We have perused the petition and documents filed therewith. The principal prayer in this petition is for a direction to obey an order dated 30.01.2018, passed by National Commission for Scheduled Castes, State Office, Pune to take entry of the name of the petitioner in respect of specific land allotted in District Parbhani and ancillary prayer is for action against responsible persons under the Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. 3.

In the first place, document dated 30.01.2018, issued by the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, appears to be recommendatory in nature and it requests the Collector to inform the Commission about the steps taken with regard to the prayer made by the petitioner for taking entries in respect of the said land. There is no

941wp7692-25 question of such an order becoming the basis for exercising writ jurisdiction or issuing any direction against the respondents. 4.

Even if, the petitioner believes that appropriate action needs to be taken under the provisions of Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, against certain individuals, the petitioner would certainly be at liberty to take necessary steps in the matter. Both prayers made in the present writ petition are misconceived and hence, there is no substance in the present petition. 5.
