Heard the learned Advocate for the petitioners in all these petitions and the learned AGP.

The petitioners are the societies / trust running Child Care Homes duly registered and issued with licences as per the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000 and are now seeking registration under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. Their requests are pending with respondent No.1 -authority.

Suffice for the purpose to observe that some of the relevant aspects as would be considered by the respondent No.1 have been elaborately dealt with by this Court in Writ Petition 7821/21 (Mother Teresa Balakashram vs. The State of Maharashtra and others) and connected matters by the judgment and
--3- 950-wp-6232-23 + 3 order dated 08 September 2022 to which one of us (Mangesh S. Patil, J.) was a member. Obviously, he has to bear in mind, the observations of this Court while considering the petitioners' requests for renewal of the licences.

The petitions are disposed of by directing respondent No.1 to consider and decide the petitioner's applications for renewal of the registration on its own merits by extending an opportunity to them to comply with the defciencies, if any, to be noticed by him and in the light of our observations in Writ Petition No.7821/21 (supra). The decision shall be taken as expeditiously as possible and in any case within eight weeks from the date of appearance of the petitioners.
