This is a Writ Petition filed by a person who was working in the Municipal Council, Pathri and has retired. He claims to be the Vice President of Maharashtra Nagar Parishad, Nagar Panchayat Karmachari / Savarga Karmachari Sanghatna. His grievance is that Respondent Nos.7, 8 and 9, have been granted illegal promotions. He has nothing to do with their promotions and it is not his claim that the union has received any complaint from any member that his promotion has been overlooked and Respondent Nos.7, 8 and 9 have been promoted.

We have noticed in several matters that Writ jurisdiction of this Court is used for settling scores. Merely because the Petitioner is a Vice

( 2 ) 946 wp 6146 .24 President of a Union, this petition would not be maintainable for seeking a direction against Respondent Nos.7, 8 and 9, when there is no grievance lodged with the union by any of it's members. There is no pleading in the petition that any particular member of the Union has been deprived of his right to promotion.

In these circumstances, we are not entertaining such a cause and this Writ Petition is, therefore, dismissed.
