By the order dated 24-02-2016, the Deputy Superintendent of Land Records, Patoda was directed to undertake re-measurement. Since it was not happening, contempt petition no. 800 of 2016 was preferred by the petitioner. By order dated 17-10-2018, on a statement being made by the learned AGP about the Superintendent of Land Records having undertaken the re-measurement, the authorities were expected to take appropriate steps in the light of the result of the measurement. This was the order passed on 17-10-2018. For noncompliance of which, the present contempt petition was filed way back in the year 2020.

Today, learned APP, on written instructions, submits that re-measurement had taken place on 18-09-2018 and tenders across the bar copy of the communication together with the measurement

2 CP / 420 / 2020 papers exchanged inter se between the departments. The written instructions collectively are taken on record and marked 'X' for the purpose of identification.

The afore-mentioned facts themselves are indicative of the total dereliction of the duties by the concerned government officials. In spite of having undertaken the re-measurement way back on 18-09-2018, for want of its copies, the petition again alleging contempt, has been filed. Be that as it may.

In the light of the re-measurement, the proceeding is disposed of.
