The Petitioner has put-forth prayer clauses 'A' and 'B', as under- "A. To direct the respondent Nos.1 and 3 to grant benefit of III stage senior scale under Career Advancement Scheme to the petitioner as per recommendations of the Screening Cum Evaluation Committee, by issuing a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order or

To direct the respondent Nos.1 and 3 to consider and decide the proposal for approval to the pay scale of the petitioner from AGP - Rs.7000/- to Rs.8000/- as per the recommendation of the screening committee, within a period of four weeks, pending hearing and final disposal of this petition;"

It is pointed out that the Joint Director has addressed the Director of Higher Education vide communication dated 27.01.2022 for guidance. After such guidance is received, the Joint Director can proceed to take a decision with regard to the grant of the 3rd stage senior scale benefit under the Career Advancement Scheme to the Petitioner. Grievance is that neither the Director of Higher Education is extending any guidance to the Joint Director, nor is the Joint Director willing to proceed for taking a decision. It is,
3 wp 7303.2022 therefore, prayed that necessary directions be issued.

Considering the above, this Petition is disposed off with a direction to Respondent No.2 to respond to the letter dated 27.01.2022 that he has received from the Joint Director and extend guidance to the Joint Director as expeditiously as possible and preferably on or before 15.09.2022. Thereafter, the Joint Director would proceed to take a decision on or before 15.10.2022 and convey the decision to the Petitioner expeditiously and preferably on or before 21.10.2022.
