PER COURT:- 1.

The petitioner had received a Scheduled Tribe Certificate with the spelling 'Tokare Koli'. Since it is well settled that the correct name of the caste/tribe should be mentioned in the certificate, the respondent no.2-Committee has confiscated the certificate. He needs to be issued with the corrected certificate. He is willing to approach the Committee, receive the certified copy of the incorrect certificate, produce it before respondent no.4 and seek a corrected certificate. 2.

The learned A.G.P. submits that, if the above exercise is completed by the petitioner within a particular period, respondent no.4 could issue the corrected certificate within three weeks.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off with the following directions:- a.

The petitioner shall appear before respondent no.2-Committee at 12.00 noon on 30.07.2022 and tender an application for collecting the certified copy of the incorrect certificate. The respondent no.2 shall issue a certified copy to the petitioner on the same date.

b.

The petitioner then shall appear before respondent no.4 on 05.08.2022 and deliver the certificate to the said authority.

c.

The respondent no.4 thereafter, would keep the corrected certificate ready on 12.08.2022 at 12.00 noon and the petitioner would approach the said authority on the said date and time and receive the corrected certificate.
