The revision application filed by the petitioner under Section 9 of The Maharashtra Money-Lending (Regulation) Act, 2014 came to be rejected vide order dated 09.05.2024, in view of judgment delivered in Writ Petition No. 14389 of 2019 with connected matters. The said judgment is subsequently reviewed by judgment dated 12.09.2024 passed in Revision Application (Civil) No. 196 of 2024 in Writ Petition No. 14387 of 2019 and it is held that the revision under Section 9 of the said Act is maintainable against an order of an appeal under Section 58(4) of the said Act.

In view of the aforesaid, the impugned order dated 09.05.2024 passed by Respondent No. 5 in Revision Application No.

950 WP NO.6125.2024 -266 of 2023 is quashed and set aside and the respondent No. 5 is directed to decide the Revision Application on its own merit in accordance with law. Parties to appear before the learned Revisional Authority on 28.07.2025. No separate notice will be issued for appearance by the Revisional Authority.

It is made clear that the interim order dated 25.06.2024 shall continue till the date of appearance of the parties before the Revisional Authority. The learned Revisional Authority may consider the passing of appropriate interim order in accordance with law. (ROHIT W. JOSHI, J.) Omkar Joshi
