Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The grievance of the petitioner is that her caste claim is pending with the respondent - scrutiny committee. 3.

The petitioner claims to be belonging to scheduled tribe 'Thakur'. Accordingly, caste certificate was issued in her favour on the proposal dated 18 August 2022. The same was forwarded to the respondent - committee for the verification. The proposal is still with the respondent - committee. The petitioner is prosecuting her studies and aspires to secure admission.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that as the matter is pending for the report of the Vigilance Officer, time of four months is needed for the final adjudication of the claim. However, it is informed by the counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is seeking admission through NEET.

Considering the urgency in the matter, the ends of justice would be met by directing the respondent - committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a short time. 6.

The respondent is requested to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of two weeks.

The petition is disposed of in view of above directions. 8.

There is no order as to costs.
