The petitioner is in receipt of the tribe certificate issued by the Sub Divisional Officer, Parbhani certifying that she belongs to ' Koli Mahadeo' - Scheduled Tribe. The correct spelling of the tribe, as recorded in the Constitutional Order is ' Koli Mahadev ' - Scheduled Tribe. The Sub Divisional Officer needs to issue the correct tribe certificate to the petitioner.

It would be open for the petitioner to tender an application to the Sub Divisional Officer, Parbhani together with the tribe certificate already issued to her on 9th June 2010. The Sub Divisional Officer, Parbhani shall, without embarking upon further enquiry in the matter, issue tribe certificate to the petitioner recording the correct spelling of the tribe as ' Koli Mahadev'

within fifteen days from the date of receipt of application from the petitioner.

On receipt of corrected tribe certificate, it would be open for the petitioner to tender the proposal for verification to the Scrutiny Committee. If the petitioner tenders the proposal to the Scrutiny Committee together with the corrected tribe certificate within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the corrected tribe certificate, the Scrutiny Committee shall accept the proposal directly from the petitioner and proceed to decide the claim for verification and validation of the tribe certificate on its own merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possibly preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the proposal. 4.

With the directions as above, Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
