Mr. Ambetkar, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that, the father of the petitioner was serving as a Mukadam/peon with the respondent No. 4/Municipal Council. While in service, he died on 09th September, 2005. On 15th October, 2005 the mother of the petitioner filed an application seeking appointment on compassionate ground. The same is not decided. The petitioner also filed an application seeking appointment on compassionate ground on 17th October, 2011 after attaining age of majority. The mother of the petitioner has also died on 09th November, 2006. The learned counsel submits that, as per the scheme applicable, the petitioner is entitled for appointment on

Mr. Naiknavare, the learned counsel for the respondent No. 4 submits that, the petitioner is aged 24 years. After a long slumber, application has been filed by the petitioner. 3.

It appears that, no orders are passed on the application filed by the petitioner seeking appointment on compassionate ground. The petitioner has produced the copy of service book of his late father and other documents. It would be appropriate for the authorities to take decision upon the same. 4.

The respondent No. 4 shall take decision on the application filed by the petitioner seeking appointment on compassionate ground (Exhibit - E page 22) expeditiously on its own merits, in accordance with law expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) months from today. The writ petition accordingly is disposed of. No costs.
