We have heard Mr. N. P. Patil Jamalpurkar, learned counsel for the petitioner at length. The learned A.G.P. waives service of notice for respondents no. 1 and 3.

The petition is filed on assumption that the elections would not be conducted within the stipulated period. The tenure of the body is up to September-2019. The elections are due in
2 wp 7170.19 September-2019. The petitioner is relying on the newspaper report.

Today, there is nothing on record to substantiate the apprehension of the petitioner. On mere assumption no orders can be passed.

If the State takes some decision of not holding the elections as per the schedule, then the petitioner would have a cause of action to approach this Court.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
