Applicants apprehend arrest in connection with Crime No. 0583/2024, registered with Shrirampur City Police Station, District Ahmednagar, for the offences punishable under Sections 328, 188, 272, 273 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

First Information Report indicates that contraband Ganja and Panmasala were seized from the co-accused. It is stated therein that as per the statement made by the co-accused, the said goods were supplied by the present Applicants. Hence, he apprehends arrest.

Learned counsel for the Applicants submits that except for the alleged statement of co-accused, there is no evidence to connect the Applicants with the crime.

Learned APP opposed the Applications by citing seriousness of the crime.

Perusal of police papers do not indicate any evidence to connect Applicants with the crime except for the alleged statement of the co-accused. Hence, the Applications are allowed in terms of the interim order.
