PER COURT:- 1.

The petitioner has to pay the provident fund dues as well as damages. The order dated 20.10.2021 passed below Section 14B of the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, is a appealable order and the Appeal is maintainable under Section 7(I) before the Provident Fund Appellate Tribunal which is the C.G.I.T.

The learned Advocate for the respondentProvident Fund Office submits that, the petitioner may approach the department in the backdrop of

installments already granted. If some leniency is to be sought, the petitioner will have to approach the department.

We are of the view that, we need not entertain this petition considering the statutory remedy under Section 7(I), in relation to an order under Section 14B, being available.

In view of the above, leaving the legal remedies open to the petitioner, this petition is disposed off.
