We have considered the submissions of the learned Advocate for the respective sides.

It is glaring that the respondents have violated the directions of this Court dated 23.02.2022 passed in WP No.2153/2021. 4 months time was granted only to conduct a meeting and consider the case of the petitioner. We are informed that there were 3 meetings held, but conspicuously, the case of the petitioner was not tabled and was, therefore, not considered. This clearly indicates the will of the khs/August 2022/415

- 2 - respondents to overbear the authority of this Court. 3.

We are, therefore, granting an opportunity to the respondents to purge the contempt.

After taking instructions, the learned Advocate submits that one or two members of the Board, who are arrayed as respondents, may not be available. However, rest of the members would be available and the coram would be complete to hold a meeting on 19.08.2022. 5.

Having recorded the above statement, the Wakf Board shall convene a meeting on 19.08.2022 and shall comply with the directions of this Court dated 23.02.2022. We make it clear that if this direction and the statement are violated, it shall be held that the respondents have indulged in aggravated contempt.

With the above statements being recorded, this petition is disposed off.
