The petitioner is objecting to the decision of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, directing cancellation of the tender process initiated for allotment of residential plot bearing no. RX-7/5. 2.

The reason quoted for arriving at the decision is that in response to the tender notice, four bids were received and out of the bids received, two bidders were found to be disqualified. There was no possibility of receiving competitive rates to the corporation, and as such, conscious decision was taken to cancel the tender process, by the corporation.

The action of the respondent-corporation in furtherance of its financial interest cannot be said to be arbitrary. The petition is devoid of substance, hence dismissed.
