The State Government has issued an order on 23.07.2015, in exercise of powers under Section 14 (3A) of the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1963, directing postponement of elections for electing managing committees of such of the Agricultural Produce Market Committees whose programme of election has not reached the stage of acceptance of nomination papers as provided under Rule 43(1) of the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Rules, 1967 and except such of those Market Committees wherein there are no specific orders issued by the High Court or the Supreme Court in respect of holding of elections. Instant petitions before us are covered by the order issued by the State Government, referred to above, on 23.07.2015 and as such, elections to respective Agricultural Produce Market Committees stand postponed for the period of six months from the date of issuance of order by the State Government. The grievance raised by the petitioners, in these petitions, stands redressed. Writ Petitions stand disposed of.
