The Petitioner herein is aggrieved by the select list published on 08.04.2025 regarding the appointment to the post of Anganwadi Sevika. It is her case that although she and Respondent No.4 were given equal marks, the Respondent No.4 has been placed at sr.no.1 while the Petitioner has been placed at sr.no.2.

Before going into the merits of the contention raised on behalf of the Petitioner, we find that the alternative remedy of filing of an appeal before the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad is available to the Petitioner under Government Resolution dated 02.02.2023.

The record also shows that immediately after the select list was published on 08.04.2025, on the next day i.e. 09.04.2025 the Petitioner had raised a grievance before the Project Officer, Child Development. The said GR provides that an appeal can be filed within thirty days.

We are of the opinion that since the remedy of an appeal is available to the Petitioner, it will be appropriate that she is relegated to the said remedy instead of entertaining this petition. 5.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed of by reserving liberty to the Petitioner to file an appeal before the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad to raise her grievance, within two weeks from today. 6.

If the Appeal is filed within two weeks from today, the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad shall not dismiss it on the ground of limitation and the appeal shall be decided on its own merits. 7.

This Court has expressed no opinion on the merits of the matter. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of. [Y.G. KHOBRAGADE, J.] [MANISH PITALE, J.] mub
