We had passed an order on 15.02.2024, in Writ Petition No. 1810 of 2024 wherein the statement of the learned AGP, made on instructions, was recorded that Smt. Deepa Mudhol, District Collector, Beed has passed an order on 27.06.2024 under Section 16 of the Maharashtra Grampanchayat Act,1959.

The grievance of the Petitioner is that this Court had recorded the statement of the learned AGP made on instructions that a decision would be taken within 30 days. However, instead of deciding the proceedings by 15.03.2024, the order has been passed on 27.06.2024. 3.

The learned AGP submits on instructions from the said District

932-cp-569-24 Collector that she tenders an unconditional apology for having not decided the matter within 30 days. The learned AGP now submits that the concerned District Collector has already been transferred, in the routine transfer at the end of June- 2024.

Mr. Shermale, learned Advocate submits on instructions that it is for this Court to consider the above development. 5.

We are of the view that though belatedly, the District Collector has decided the proceedings of the Petitioner. She has also tendered an apology which is conveyed to the Court by the learned AGP. In view of the same, the Contempt Petition, in which notice is yet to be issued, is disposed off.

We, however, deem it appropriate to record that all the District Collectors who head the District Administration at each district, should be more cautious and careful while implementing the orders of this Court.
