We had passed an order on 20.10.2022, in Writ Petition No. 8471 of 2022. The claim for payment of rental compensation to the Petitioners, was to be decided before 30.04.2023. Same has been decided by order dated 05.06.2024. The copy of the said order is marked as 'X-1' for identification.

The learned AGP informs us that though this Court had issued the directions in order dated 20.10.2022, the same was directed towards Respondent No.3, in view of the contention of the Petitioners. However, the authority to actually decide the proceeding was

933-cp-570-24 Respondent No.4. This confusion led to the delay and finally when Respondent No. 3 directed Respondent No. 4 to decide, that Respondent No. 4 has passed the order at 'X-1'. 3.

In view of the above, the learned Advocate for the Petitioners graciously submits that this matter can rest here since he satisfied. He prays that the rental compensation be paid urgently. We, therefore, direct the concerned authority, Respondent No. 4 herein, to disburse the amount to the Petitioner within 30 days.

With the above directions, the Contempt Petition in which notice is yet to be issued, is disposed off.
