The petitioners' lands are used for the purpose of erection of tower and overhead transmission line. The petitioners had submitted representations dated 12th August, 2022, 23rd August 2022 and 19th January, 2023 to Respondent Nos. 3 and 5.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the State Government has issued Government Resolutions dated 31st May, 2017 and 02nd November, 2022 to consider grant of compensation and to reevaluate the compensation granted to such affected land owners. He submits that the compensation received by the petitioners is inadequate, and therefore, the same needs to be reconsidered in view of the said government resolutions. 1 / 2

Learned counsel for Respondent No.5 submits that by way of aforesaid government resolutions, the State Government has directed Respondent No.2 - District Collector to constitute a committee for such purpose i.e. for recalculation of the compensation granted to such land owners.

Learned A.G.P. for the respondent - State submits that Respondent No.2 - District Collector must have constituted such committee as per the said government resolution.

After hearing the parties for sometime, we direct Respondent No.2 - District Collector to forward the said representations filed by the petitioners to the said committee constituted by way of above referred government resolutions within two weeks from today. The said committee, after receipt of the said representations, shall consider and decide the same in accordance with law and in the light of the said government resolutions within a reasonable time.
