Heard. This is an application for directions to the Passport Authority to renew the passport of the applicant. The applicant has already filed Criminal Writ Petition No.1505 of 2019, which is pending before this Court. The main challenge is against an order of issuance of process passed by the learned JMFC, Kallam, Dist. Osmanabad dated 15.07.2014 and confirmed by the learned Sessions Court in Revision on 22.07.2019. It is the case of the applicant that while he was working as a Branch Manager in State Bank of India, Kallam, a complaint is lodged in respect of transactions in respect of bank. The applicant is impleaded only being a Manager of the bank

( 2 ) cria2136.22 at the relevant time. Now the parties are before this Court. Certainly, merely because the prosecution is pending is no reason not to renew the passport. There is no case that for any special reason the passport cannot be issued to the applicant. In view of this, the application deserves to be allowed. 02.

Hence, the application is allowed in terms of prayer clause (B). 03.

Place Cr.W.P. Nos.1505 of 2019 and 1538 of 2019 on Board on 17.04.2023.
