1] The application sought quashing and setting aside of criminal proceedings arising from Crime No. 96 of 2015, registered at Kadim Jalna police station, Jalna.

2] On perusal of the F.I.R., it is clear to us that complaint under Section 498-A, etc. of the Indian Penal Code was made against husband, parents-in-law and other relatives of the husband. This petition is filed by relatives of the husband who did not reside with the complainant. They are cousins of father-in-law of the complainant, while the allegations against them are quite vague. We also see that the allegations made against them are made out of spite and to wreak vengeance.

crap3386.15 3] The matrimonial dispute between complainant and her husband has resulted into filing of this complaint, but since the role attributed to the applicants is not quite significant & an omnibus statement is made that all of them harassed over demand of dowry, etc. We are of the view that the complaint should continue only against husband and his parents.

4] Criminal Application is allowed in terms of prayer clause 'B'.
