This Court directed the Scrutiny Committee to decide the validation proposal tendered by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible while dealing with Writ Petition No. 10198 of 2010 decided on 6th August, 2012.

It is informed that even after about six years, the direction has not been complied with and the claim is kept pending. The petitioner is desirous of contesting the elections to the local authority and is in need of the validation certificate. It is also brought to our notice that vigilance cell enquiry in the matter is already complete.

In this view of the matter, the Scrutiny Committee is directed to decide the proposal for validation of tribe certificate tendered by the petitioner within a period of four months from today. The members of the Scrutiny Committee have tendered unconditional apology for their failure to decide the matter expeditiously. The apology tendered by the members of the committee is accepted.

With the directions as above, the contempt petition stands disposed of.
