1] This petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to the respondent no.2 - Collector to take decision on the applications tendered by the petitioners for grant of licence for sale of liquor as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six weeks from today and it is accordingly directed. The Collector shall take appropriate decision in accordance with the provisions of law and within the framework of the policy

WP 6647/16 - 2 - prescribed by the State Government in respect of issuance of licences.

2] The writ petition is disposed of accordingly with no order as to costs.
