The petitioner, who possesses scheduled tribe certificate in form 'C' as per the rules framed under the Maharashtra Act XXIII of 2001, is seeking a scheduled tribe certificate in the form prescribed by the Central Government. The application has been filed by his mother (Exh.'B') on 18.07.2023.

We dispose of the writ petition by directing respondent no. 2competent authority to decide the petitioner's application (Exh. 'B') within one week and issue him the certificate in the form prescribed by the Central Government within a week thereafter.
