A motion for urgent admission hearing was moved at 10.30 am today. The urgency expressed was that the elections of Respondent No.7 Society had already been scheduled and the voting was to occur on Sunday, 23rd June, 2024. However, the State Government, through the Department of Cooperation, Marketing and Textile, issued an order dated 20.06.2024 thereby postponing the elections due to the onset of the rainy season. Hence, we granted urgent circulation on the Production Board.

When this matter was called out, the learned Advocate Shri S.K. Kadam appearing on behalf of Respondent Nos. 3 to 6, placed on record a communication dated 21.06.2024 issued by the Department of Cooperation, Marketing and Textile, by which a clarification has been issued. Copy of the said communication is taken on record and marked as 'X' for identification. It would indicate that the scheduled election, for which the election programme has been declared, would not be postponed.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits on instructions that the Petitioner is satisfied and the Petition can be disposed off. 4.
