The contention of the petitioner is that the land of the petitioner is affected in road widening. Acquisition proceedings are not yet initiated. According to respondent no.3, the roads are laid on the existing road of 33 fit width and not beyond that. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already approached the Collector about their land being affected. No cognizance is taken. 2.

In case the representations/application is filed by the petitioner (page 20) and the same is pending before respondent No.1, then the respondent No.1 Collector shall decide the application on its own merits as may be permissible, preferably within six months. Writ petition accordingly disposed of. No costs.
