The request made in these petitions is that the Joint Charity Commissioner, Latur, be called upon to decide Application Nos.21/2009 and 8/2024 pending under Section 41-
*2* D of the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act, expeditiously. 3.
The learned AGP has taken instructions, after seeking a passover yesterday and submits that the said Authority has posted the matter on 05.08.2024.

It cannot be countenanced that the proceedings of 2009 are kept pending for 15 years. The situation is further aggravated in view of the fact that this Court had passed the order on 20.01.2021 in Writ Petition Nos.1028/2021 and 1031/2021, permitting the Petitioners to make an application to the Joint Charity Commissioner for an expeditious decision in the same matter. Yet, the matter is not decided. 5.
In view of the above, both these Writ Petitions are disposed off with the following directions:- (a) Since we are informed that the next date of hearing is posted on 05.08.2024, we direct the Joint Charity Commissioner to ensure that Application No.21/2009 is taken up for hearing at least three days in a week, until it is decided. (b) The litigating parties would not be permitted to seek
*3* an adjournment unless a very convincing and emergent ground is made out. If required, costs may be imposed on the parties for seeking adjournment.
(c) The said proceedings shall be decided on or before 30.11.2024.
(d) If there is any other matter, which is so intricately connected with the said 2009 proceedings, that it cannot be decided by segregating it from Application No.21/2009, then the said matter be also decided along with this application. (e) Insofar as Application No.8/2014 is concerned, the same would also be dealt with expeditiously and shall be decided on or before 31.12.2024, unless it is intricately connected with Application No.21/2009, so as to be decided together. kps (Y.
