JULY 02, 2025 ORDER :- The petitioner, who is working as an Agricultural Officer in the Department of Agriculture, Government of Maharashtra, was transferred from Ahilyanagar to Latur in the General Transfers. The petitioner had given choices in her transfer application and sought transfer by invoking clause of couple convenience. The husband of the petitioner is working at Ahilyanagar.

Being aggrieved of the transfer, the petitioner approached learned Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal by filing Original Application No.567 of 2025 and prayed for interim order. Learned Tribunal, by interim order dated 10.06.2025, rejected the prayer for interim relief. The petitioner, therefore, approached this Court by way of this Writ Petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after the transfer was effected, the petitioner has made a representation to the Commissioner, Agriculture Department, Maharashtra State, Pune, requesting reconsideration of her transfer on the ground of couple convenience. He submits that necessary directions may be given to the competent authority to consider and decide the said representation as the same is still not decided. Learned AGP for respondent nos.1 to 3 submits that necessary orders for deciding the representation made by the petitioner be passed and the Writ Petition can be disposed of. 5.

A copy of the representation made by the petitioner to the Commissioner of Agriculture (respondent no.2) is annexed at page 61. In view of the limited relief sought by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to consider and decide the representation made by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from today. Learned AGP shall inform the concerned authorities about this order. The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. [NEERAJ P. DHOTE, J.] [R.G. AVACHAT, J.] KBP
